SQL Database for Added Scalability
QuickBooks Enterprise now has a powerful, industry-standard SQL database underneath the hood that can scale with your business as it grows. The new database is state-of-the-art technology. It is a relational database that uses client-server technology in multi-user mode to coordinate and manage access to the company file. You don't have to worry about complex database installation and access, and you don't need to know SQL to use it.

Up to 20 Simultaneous Users
QuickBooks Enterprise is now available in 5, 10, 15 or 20 user licenses so you can add users as you grow. Instead of standing in line for access, up to 20 employees can all work at the same time, boosting productivity across the organization. Adding users is fast and easy - simply install the software on their PC and point them to your QuickBooks Enterprise company file.

Access Your Data with OBDC Compliant Applications
For more advanced reporting needs, you can retrieve your QuickBooks data with ODBC compliant applications such as Microsoft® Access or Excel to see data just the way you want. Link to various business applications and build custom reports, queries or forms.

You can also use the powerful SQL language to run SQL access and have full control over your data. Upgrade your ODBC driver to allow read/write access, enabling you to write data into QuickBooks Enterprise from other programs.

Combine Reports from Multiple Company Files
If your company operates from multiple locations, save time and avoid errors by consolidating financial reports in one easy step. No manual calculations or mistakes. Just choose a report: Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, or Trial Balance. Select the data files to draw from, and QuickBooks Enterprise creates a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with a column for each location, and a column that totals them all.

Advanced User Permissions & Custom Access Levels
Give your employees access to the information and activities they need to do their jobs, without exposing your data to accidental or intentional misuse. For example, you can give a user access to use the check register but restrict his access to payroll to prevent him from viewing payroll checks. QuickBooks Enterprise will obfuscate the payroll check entries so he can continue to use the check register without seeing the payroll checks.

Allow or restrict your users to access over 115 individual reports, bank accounts, lists and activities in QuickBooks Enterprise. Customize each user's access level to view-only, create, modify, delete, print or any combination thereof. View the permissions report to know which users have access to what.

Always-on Audit Trail
An "always on" audit trail greatly reduces the time spent investigating changes to your QuickBooks Enterprise files since the last time you reviewed them.

Records transactions that are being entered, edited or deleted from the system.

Helps protect you against employee fraud and detect employee errors.

Helps protect you against employees who attempt to make fraudulent transactions and then cover their tracks by deleting or editing the transactions to appear normal.
